"My goal is to help clients
better educate themselves. The educated client is the most important factor in a

Tom Judd, D.V.M. graduated
from Michigan State University in 1983. He moved to Maine and worked
with Dr. Paul Clukey in Lewiston at a large animal veterinary
practice. In 1984 he became co-owner of North Deering Veterinary
Hospital, at that time a large mixed animal practice in Portland.
After selling North Deering Veterinary Hospital in 1991, Dr. Judd
established Equine Veterinary Services, an independent practice in
Cumberland.
As
a member of the
International Association of Equine Dentistry, Dr. Judd
offers Performance Dentistry to horses participating in a
variety of disciplines.
In addition to his
equine practice, Dr. Judd also performs Veterinary Acupuncture
on a regular basis. Since 1990 he has treated horses, dogs, cats, rabbits,
cattle, goats and pigs with this centuries old discipline. He
finds that acupuncture is most effective in treating musculoskelatal disorders, inflammatory disease and behavioral
problems.
Tom and his wife live in
Cumberland with their two cats, Bob and Josh, their rescued Afghan Hounds, Maddie
and Cyrus, and Sam and Louie, their rescued German Shepherds. Their horses are Prospector, a Thoroughbred, Spot, a Paint/Arab Cross,
and Fallon their Irish Draught.
