HELPING HORSES STAY HEALTHIER BY PROVIDING QUALITY PREVENTIVE CARE

tom_horsesThomas A. Judd, D.V.M. graduated from Michigan State University in 1983. He moved to Maine and worked with Dr. Paul Clukey in Lewiston at a large animal veterinary practice. In 1984 he became co-owner of North Deering Veterinary Hospital, at that time a large mixed animal practice in Portland. After selling North Deering Veterinary Hospital in 1991, Dr. Judd established Equine Veterinary Service, an independent equine preventive medicine practice now located in Freeport.

Along with equine and small farm animal general practice, Dr. Judd offers progressive equine dentistry, veterinary chiropractic and veterinary acupuncture to the practice’s clients, and as a referral service for other veterinarians.

Although the veterinary practice is a full-time job, Dr. Judd regularly plays drums with the band “Misspent Youth,” and enjoys hiking and the outdoors as often as possible.

Tom and Molly enjoy caring for their German Shepherd, Louie, and their three cats, Mouse Cat, Twinkie and Purr Pie.
